Sessions and Fees

"It is a joy to be hidden, and a disaster not to be found."
(Donald Winnicott)
WHEN?

Sessions take place on week days between 10am and 7pm.
Due to high demand for after-school sessions it is often necessary to schedule sessions during school hours.  Most schools are willing to accommodate this.

WHERE?
Sessions are face to face at my private practice in Richmond-Upon-Thames.
I also offer online counselling for older adolescents and adults if appropriate.
LENGTH AND DURATION OF SESSIONS:

Each weekly session lasts 50 minutes. Should you arrive late the session will still need to finish on time and the full fee will apply.
FEES:

Initial telephone discussion:  Free
Initial face-to-face session: £45 for 50 minutes

Further sessions: £65 for 50 minutes.
I offer a discounted rate of £60 per session for sessions paid up-front in blocks of 5.

Sessions are self-funded.
Payment is due before the session via bank transfer or before/after the session using cash, or debit/credit card.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP:

If you are dropping off a child, please be aware that I don’t have a waiting room.  There are plenty of coffee shops within walking distance or you can enjoy a walk in nearby Richmond Park.

There is ample on-street free parking.

Please collect children punctually as I may have other clients arriving shortly and it is important to respect their privacy and allow their session to start on time.

Under 16s: If you are happy for your child to travel to/from mine unescorted please let me know in an email before the sessions start.
CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please let me know if you need to re-schedule a session and I will do my best to accommodate you.  Cancellations within 48 hours of the session or failure to show for an appointment will incur the full fee.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND SAFEGUARDING:

Confidentiality is important in counselling young people enabling them to open up and share feelings without fear of blame or reprisals or worrying what others will think.  However, I retain the right to breach confidentiality if the young person requests it, or if I feel that the young person is suffering, or is likely to suffer or inflict, significant harm.
PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION:
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation. All records will be kept securely/anonymously.
